| It was Saturday and I was bored as usual. So I decided to turn on the
radio. I was listening to my favourite song and I was dancing away when
suddenly a type of special report came on. It said that a space station
down town was open to the public for the first and for the last time ever
but it was only open for one day.
I ran out of the room and asked my mother if sheíd bring me. She thought
for a second and then she said yes. I was jumping up and down with excitement
and I ran and gave her a big hug. Then I ran up to my room and went to
my piggy bank and I got five pounds out of it. Then I ran in to the kitchen
and we left.
When we got there I was so excited. We didnít know were to go so we followed the crowd. We followed them until finally we came to an open space full of different rockets and shuttles. There were benches and a stand with a microphone. We sat on one of the benches and waited for everthing to happen. After a while a man in a navy uniform came on to the stand and started talking through the microphone. He started to talk about the space ships that they had and how good they are. I got bored again. I told my mother I was going to the bathroom when I was really going to see the spaceships and the shuttles. I was looking at the models when one of them started to float. I looked at it with curiosity and I thought it was amazing. I walked up to it and it started to talk. It said , ìcome inî I walked towards it and the door flung open. Then it spoke again but this time it said ìdonít be shyî I jumped in the space ship and it started to spin around and around and finally it stopped I looked out the tiny window and I nearly fell over when I saw I was no longer on Earth but on a reddish yellow planet. The door opened slowly and as it opened little men with three legs came up behind me and said, îwe can go back to earth when you want. I was so happy and I curious about it. As the day went on I met their queen and I thought she was lovely. I went to a ball in my honor and I was so happy until I knew I had to go home. So I said Goodbye and they brought me back to the space station. I said thank you and I went back to my mother and my mother said I missed the speach she also said it was so fascinating it was like an adventure.I pretended that I was upset but I knew I had the space adventure of a life time. |
