The Red Planet Hi! Welcome to the Guardians of the Millennium Mars Exploration Web Site. I'm MARTI - the Mars Autonomous Robotic Terrain Investigator, and I shall help you find your way. Mars is a planet a little smaller than Earth and further from the Sun. Some nights you can see it in the sky. It is quite bright and red-orange in colour. You can't come with me to Mars, but I can be your eyes and other senses - I even have some you don't! - and you can control me when I land. I am ready to go.
