Parents and Teachers: Please read these terms.

By using our Site, you agree to the following terms, as well as the General Terms and Conditions (written by our lawyers).

  • Educators may use materials for educational, non-commercial purposes. Parents, teachers, instructors, tutors and other educators may download and use, solely for educational and noncommercial purposes (and not for sale or license) any curricula, study guides and lesson plans posted on the bulletin boards contained on this Site.
  • Teachers: Please contact us to establish your own terms for materials you submit. We want to encourage teachers and educators to post curriculum and other learning materials on the bulletin boards, chat rooms, or other forums conducted or available on this Site (the "Forums"). Before you post any such material, we recommend that you contact us at webmaster@theguardians.com regarding the terms of use of any such material you post on the Site. If you do not contact us in advance of posting material on the Site and enter into a separate written submission agreement on the terms of use of such material, then the General Terms and Conditions with respect to submissions will apply to you.
  • Content of Submissions. We are not responsible for any submissions or other material posted on our Forums. You agree to not submit or otherwise publish through such Forums any content which: (a) libels, defames, invades privacy or publicity rights, or is obscene, pornographic, abusive, or threatening; (b) infringes any intellectual property or other right of any entity or person; (c) violates any law or is otherwise actionable; (d) advocates illegal activity; or (e) advertises or otherwise solicits funds or is a solicitation for goods or services.
  • Submitting Personal Information. Users of this Site should be aware that when they voluntarily disclose personal information (e.g., user name, e-mail address, phone number) on the Forums or other areas of the Site, that information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other people.
  • Please monitor your kids' Internet activities. We advise parents and teachers to supervise their children's online activities. Parents should consider using parental control tools available from online services and software manufacturers that help provide a kid-friendly online environment. These tools can also prevent children from disclosing online their names, addresses, and other personal information without parental permission.
